Local organizations launch, Project 11, a toy & clothing donation drive

Tis' the season to be generous. Son of a Saint Sports Foundation and Pink House Nola are collecting clothing and toys for children in the New Orleans area.

Project 11, a clothing and toy drive will benefit boys and girls ranging in age of 7-17 years old. The drive started November 11 and will run through December 11, Son of a Saint Executive Director, Sonny Lee said. Local residents can help in several ways. Clean, gently used items can be dropped off  to all of the New Orleans and surrounding locations listed below. Monetary donations are also welcome.

The nonprofit Son of a Saint focuses on enhancing the lives of father-absent young males through sports, mentorship and education. PINK House provides young ladies with an atmosphere that gives exposure, promotes self appreciation, social responsibility, effective communication and leadership towards the mental and social development necessary to excel in today’s society.
